Trafalgar House is situated within the historic precinct of Port Elliot, just a three-minute walk from the beautiful and safe Horseshoe Bay or the surf at Boomer Beach. Close to the renowned Flying Fish and Stranded restaurants, and with hotels, tennis courts, and bowling greens within easy walking distance. A clifftop walk, and bicycle trails are adjacent to the property. Trafalgar House is in the perfect holiday position for the wine, water and wildlife attractions of the Fleurieu Peninsula. An excellent stopover for a visit to Kangaroo Island, but try to stay two days to enjoy the beautiful coastline and nearby attractions.

The bluestone slate Victorian villa was extensively and faithfully restored in the mid-1990s with rich Victorian paint colours, tasteful wallpaper borders, original Baltic pine floors and doors, high ceilings with central ceiling roses, some match wood ceilings and stained glass. Antique furnishings and trinkets complete the experience.

A cottage garden at the front and rear is overflowing with iceberg roses, lavender and a range of other plants. Garden furniture and a BBQ are available for guest use.

A range of different accommodation styles is available.

Lady Hamilton Suite (Self-contained accommodation)
S/C suite with queen bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and private entrance. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, wood stove, TV, DVD, video, CD.

Maids' Cottage (Self-contained accommodation)
Standing in the garden of Trafalgar House, this was the accommodation for the two maids who helped run this boarding house in the 1920s. Queen bedroom and second bedroom with two singles. Lounge/dining area, full kitchen and bathroom. Reverse cycle air-conditioning, wood stove, TV, DVD, video, CD, books and games.

The Strand Suite This is available on request. It consists of a sitting room (with TV, DVD,CD), bedroom and bathroom.

Hosted Accommodation
Where guests choose to experience old style hospitality, a full breakfast is served in the dining room, and guests have access to two sitting rooms, a formal dining room, a library, TV, DVD, CD and games. Complimentary afternoon tea, and an evening port are included in the hosted accommodation tariff.
